These unsettled times have obviously impacted our community.  We want to assure you that POM is aware of the growing concern of viral spread and is prepared to continue providing our clients with the best care. We are taking all measures to ensure the health and safety of both our staff members and our clients so as to prevent any potential spread of the illness.

Here is what you need to know now. With things changing day by day, we will continue to keep you informed.

Things to know
RN advocacy, case management and visits restricted to those deemed necessary, in-home care and assisted living placement will continue as usual.

Specific measures we are taking include:
1. RN’s and Caregivers will be provided face masks in the event that they present with any symptoms of illness including: fever, cough, respiratory congestion, nasal discharge. This measure is strictly to prevent spread of illness.
2. RN’s and Caregivers are required to abide by best practices to prevent the spread of respiratory viral illness including.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
  • Avoid close contact with people who are ill
  • Stay home when you are ill
  • Cover your cough or sneeze, then immediately discard any tissues
  • Clean and disinfect frequently-touched objects and surfaces
3. RN’s are traveling with individual hand sanitizer for additional precaution.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation until the impact of the novel Coronavirus subsides and the condition allows for a return to normal responsibilities. These and future actions are in full support of the wellbeing of our POM community as well as our community at large.

Thank you for patience and understanding. Let us all practice kindness, love and compassion during this uncertain time. We are all in this together!!
